REVIEW: PILLSBURY GF COOKIE DOUGH

So if you have been keeping up with some of my latest posts (GF Pizza) you might know that I am trying out a GF (gluten free) diet for health issues and this Tuesday will make two weeks so far. For all you GF readers out there I know you understand what it's like when the craving start kicking in...mmmhmmm... if I could just bite into a cupcake. So I have been doing what it is we bloggers do best - GOOGLE! And I have felt such relief in finding a world whee e you can still have the food s you love that are deliciously GF, and in this world there are cookies!

Yep that's right Pillsbury has come out with a GF line of goodies that caught my eye in the sale paper last week... So far they have the one I picked out which is a cookie dough, pie and pastry dough, and a  pizza dough mix. I have hopes that they'll expand this and bring more delight to my meal planning.

Plus! On their website right now they have a $1.00 off coupon on any of the GF Pillsbury dough items.

So here's how it went. I opened the container and was happy to find that it looked like cookie dough... and when I made the little round balls it felt like cookies dough...Then I placed them on a cookie sheet and into the oven and let them bake.

Lastly the taste test. I could not wait to sink my teeth into one of these yummy looking cookies. After they cooled for a few minutes I timidly tried my first GF cookie and.... YUM! If I didn't know that these were GF I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. They are sweet and chewy and chocolatey! I was totally blown away by the fact that they are so close to gluten infested (delicious) cookies and still GF.

I am happy to say that these are my new favorite ready to bake cookies and I will definitely be buying them again! Oh and the best part is that when they cool they don't harden into rocks! (Unless you like that..) I'm a big fan of the soft cookie and these will stay soft into the days following. Thanks for reading! xoxo - Hillary
